Bed & Breakfast and Farmstay Australia is an association incorporated under the relevant laws of the Northern Territory of Australia. It is registered with the Australian Securities and Investment Corporation as operating throughout Australia.
Bed & Breakfast and Farmstay Australia was formed " to represent the Bed & Breakfast accommodation industry in the planning of national tourism strategies, the development of policies and legislation and in the collection and analysis of statistical data that will assist in the growth and development of the profile of the Bed & Breakfast industry within Australia."
Members of Bed & Breakfast and Farmstay Australia are those state and territory associations that are formed solely for the purpose of representing bed & breakfast and farmstay accommodation operators in a state or territory, provided that the member association has a Code of Conduct embodying principles of operating as a B&B that has the general approval of the BBFA.
This Code or quality check forms the basis of a guest's confidence in their choice of accommodation.
A Quality Guarantee
A member association of Bed & Breakfast and Farmstay Australia undertakes to ensure the travelling public an experience they will cherish.
This is done through setting standards in their state or territory, through education at workshops, conferences and through newsletters, and through making these minimum standards of conduct by bed and breakfast and farmstay accommodation owners and operators a condition of their membership.
There is not, however, "just" a standard of presentation of the accommodations to enjoy. There is the quiet and friendly service and attention to guests' needs. There is the unique "twist" provided to guests on the locality of the particular Bed & Breakfast or farmstay operation.
