The airport is situated 8km east of Canberra. Transfer to the city: There is an shuttle bus service during the week to the city centre, which departs hourly from outside the main doors of the central terminal building. Public Transport for Getting Around Canberra and Surrounds:
A bus service operates around Canberra city and its suburbs.  Almost all attractions in Canberra are serviced by a bus route. The only other public transport option within Canberra is taxi.
Countrylink run train services from Canberra to Sydney via Queanbeyan.
Coach services are available to/from Canberra through Countrylink, Greyhound, Transborder and Murrays.
