A NEW CHAIRPERSON FOR BED & BREAKFAST AND FARMSTAY AUSTRALIA INC

Bed & Breakfast and Farmstay Australia Inc (BBFA) wishes to announce the appointment of Mr Geoffrey B Chapman to the position of Chairperson.

Geoff Chapman New Chair of BBFAGeoff has been a board member of BBFA since its inception in 2004, as well as serving on its executive, and prior to this was a board member of BBFA’s predecessor the Australian Bed & Breakfast Council.  He has served on the executive of his state association, Accommodation Getaways Victoria, since it was formed in 2003 and from 2005 has chaired this association.

Geoff played a leading role in the amalgamation of the Bed & Breakfast Council of Victoria and Farm and Country Tourism Victoria.

Geoff brings to the role of Chairperson of BBFA a strong background in consumer marketing at both national and international levels.  He and his wife, Yvonne, own Musk Manor, a 4.5 Star, accredited traditional bed and breakfast situated near Daylesford, Victoria.

The Board of BBFA would like to acknowledge its retiring Chairperson, Jane Clarke of South Australia.  Jane has invested considerable time and energy into the role since her appointment in 2007 and she has ably led the Board towards realising its strong vision for the future for the national association and its industry throughout Australia.

Jane and her husband, Andrew, have sold their B&B Business in the Adelaide Hills and she will concentrate on a new business venture.  We wish her every success.
