Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) Uluru/Kata Tjuta National Park in the Central Australian Outback of the Northern Territory Australia.
An impressive and fantastic rock formation, with 36 individual domes in an outcrop, Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) stands approximately 200m taller than Uluru (Ayers Rock) at the heighest point on Mt Olga. Kata Tjuta means "the place of many heads" which is an apt name for these gigantic red domes with have walking tracks through the interesting gorges and valleys between them.
Kata-Tjuta (the Olgas) and Uluru (Ayers Rock) are two of the main tourism attractions of the area and are around 500 kilometres south of Alice Springs.
