The Railway Station at Bowral in the heart of Capital Country New South Wales Australia.
The Southern Highlands are located in the Capital Country region bisected by the Hume Highway which connects Melbourne and Sydney. In its centre lies Bowral, a charming old world town which houses the memorabilia of Sir Donald Bradman arguably Australia's greatest sporting hero who grew up there. Nearby is the famous Bong Bong picnic race course.
Founded in the early part of the 19th century, Bowral, tiny Berrima and Mittagong retain their colonial charm with beautifully restored old buildings and homes, wonderful gardens and parks.
