Penguins on Parade - Fairy Penguins on Phillip Island in Victoria Australia.

Phillip Island is home to one of the most famous spots in Australia for viewing the "Fairy" penguin. Called the Penguin Parade, around sunset visitors can view the penguins as they come out of the sea and cross Summerland Beach en route to their burrows in the sand-dunes after a day of fishing for food in the waters around Phillip Island.

The Penguin Parade can be seen from the Phillip Island visitors centre which provides ample viewing opportunity from specially constucted boardwalks and stands thus allowing the birds to be viewed in their natural habitat Phillip Island also has a large koala population, is home to the Australian Motor Bike grand Prix and is a popular seaside/surfing venue.
