The Bromeliad Bed and Breakfast has Free Wifi and secure off street parking for your vehicles Our aim is to provide you with an enjoyable, restful retreat (or Darwin base) during your explorations in the Top End. In 2000, just before the Sydney Olympic Games our life took a left hand turn from retirement to full time care for our youngest son- a passenger in a car accident in Brazil. Our “retirement dream” faded as nour priority quest changed to find a ground level Darwin home suitable for a new paraplegic. Our home has dual access and sits on a 925sq m flat suburban block, we have two rooms with their own Wet Rooms (en suite) A trundle bed is available for an extra fee of $20 per night. Guests have access to our in ground swimming pool Please read our Testimonial page to see what our guests think about our business. We invite you to stay with us so we can share our local knowledge of attractions and services to ensure your own personal love affair with the Territory can begin. Welcome from hosts – Carol & Geoff McKenzie and two non-humans, Molly (Maltese) & Lucky (Indian ringneck)

22/02/2017 Gilbert & Jacqueline – Belgium, very pleasant surprise arriving in Darwin very early off an International flight to find Carol waiting to make us welcome. Our hosts provided lots of info on Darwin and the NT without her we would not have known what to do. Nothing was too hard for our hosts trying to make us feel at home. Great place to stay and enjoy superb Northern Territory hospitality. Thanks a lot

14 April 2017 Dawn – Pretoria – I arrived in difficult circumstances as I had come from South Africa to visit my terminally ill uncle – this family were wonderful and provided practical advice and emotional support – I really feel like their adopted daughter! Their accommodation and breakfast were superb and your home, pool and garden was wonderful in helping me to relax. Thanks a million!!
